Covid 19 Update - As with the rest of the country, we are working to comply with Federal and State requirements for events and programming. Although in person events are on hold, we are working to create other experiences through various content and potentially streaming events so that you can still participate in the PRC. Below are some of what we are planning for the coming months. Thank you for your patience and support!
Video Series
We are working on a series with our conservator and team member Donna Williams, who will explore the fine art of restoration. The subject? Our wonderful Hollywood miniature. Our hope is for a deep dive into the process of bringing back to life this work of art, as well as what it means to preserve such a piece.
Then and Now
For decades Hollywood, and Los Angeles for that matter, has constantly transformed. It is hard to imagine how different neighborhoods have changed, so we look to explore that further. We are creating an ongoing series examining places in Hollywood now, and what they looked like not that long ago.
Webinars
As 2020 continues, we plan to have online educational events on topics of preservation and advocacy. At times the process of protecting a historical landmark is complicated, and so we think hosting webinars with experts on the subject is a way for the community to learn and be inspired. So keep your eyes peeled.
