Egyptian Theatre Update
Egyptian Theatre Sign Removal Approaching
Our Preservation team wanted to alert you to an upcoming sign removal that is part of the restoration of the Egyptian Theatre. We are informed that starting at 4am on Wednesday December 21st, work will begin to remove the blade sign for restoration treatment inclusive of the neon components. Beginning 4am on Thursday the 22nd the blade signage will be craned off the building.
This work is connected to permit 22048-10000-0111, which is dated Aug 16th, 2022. Members of the Los Angeles Theatre Foundation, our organization and others are keeping close watch on these activities to assure that we have the most accurate information regarding the refurbishment of this iconic sign. We will send out updates as we receive them.
